Article: Gardening the Native way.(The garden)

Let me start off and say that I will never consider myself a farmer, or even a gardener. My main interests are in Native American and early American history. My goal in starting this garden was twofold; to put healthy vegetables on my family's table and to try to reach back and touch on my own Native American ancestry. The lessons learned were many, not only in terms of gardening, but also by teaching me a greater respect for the hard work my ancestors had to go through in order to survive.
