Oct. 23--Alcon's earnings climbed 22 percent, to $153.1 million, in the third quarter, led by strong sales of surgical equipment and glaucoma products, the company reported Wednesday.
Earnings per share rose to 49 cents, from 41 cents during the same period last year. And the Fort Worth-based eye-care company increased third-quarter global sales to $822.7 million, up almost 11 percent from a year earlier.
Alcon develops and manufactures optical surgery equipment, prescription eye-care drugs and contact lens solutions. The company went public in March ...
