2003 OCT 27 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- No link between hepatitis C and non-Hodgkin lymphoma can be found in Turkey.
According to published research from Turkey, "hepatitis C virus (HCV) has been associated with several extrahepatic disorders including mixed cryoglobulinemia (MC), autoimmune thyroiditis, and Sjogren's syndrome. Such associations have led to the suggestion that HCV may participate in the development of various immunmediated disorders. Recently, it has been hypothesized that HCV might act as a trigger for the development of monoclonal B-cell disorders such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL)."
