Tuesday's vote to ban what critics call partial birth abortions satisfied neither side in the larger abortion debate.
Local abortion-rights forces called the vote a politically motivated blow to women's rights and health.
Anti-abortion forces said it's too narrow and leaves the door wide open for aborting fetuses in other ways.
