In a break from his newly assigned job of reeling in opposing scorers, Syracuse Crunch center Brad Moran took to the choppy waters of Oneida Lake Wednesday and tried to land a different sort of big one.
Moran and teammates Donald MacLean, Paul Traynor, Mike Pandolfo and Tim Jackman chartered a boat for a fishing trip. Jackman landed the prize of the day, a 231/4-inch walleye. Moran was back in the pack, trying to stay warm while landing a few bass and walleye.
Moran later stayed in the background when Jackman and Pandolfo filleted the fish at their apartment. Moran's not even sure if he'll eat the haul. But ...
