Oct. 27-- State residents may soon be asking, "Where's the beef?" as local restaurants struggle with a plethora of incidents and issues that are raising their costs on multiple fronts.
Simon Flynn, president and chief executive officer of the Connecticut Restaurant Asso-ciation, said Friday afternoon that a case of mad cow disease in Canada, rising energy and liability insurance costs, and a looming increase in Connecticut's minimum wage could cause "unprecedented in-creases that basically consumers are going to see in their menu prices."
