Every so often, my computer shuts off with no warning and then turns back on 5 or 10 seconds later. It often repeats this cycle four or five more times. Sometimes if I jostle the computer after it's turned itself off, it will turn on again. How can I get my PC to turn on and stay on?

I would have suspected overheating was causing some component to fail intermittently, but your last clue, the power-on from jostling, leads me to believe that the problem is a loose connection or a bad power supply.
To check for weak connections, reseat the motherboard's power connectors, as well ...
