HANOI, Oct 29 Asia Pulse - Trade between Viet Nam and Egypt has great potential for expansion even though Egypt is already Viet Nam's biggest trading partner in Africa, the general secretary of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Pham Gia Tuc said last week.
Total trade between the two countries was worth US$21.9 million last year - equivalent to just 0.01 per cent of Egypt's total trade.
Tuc said Viet Nam was now exporting to Egypt goods such as electronic spare parts, electrical equipment, shoes, fishing nets, coffee, tea and pepper, while imports included mineral oil, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, raw cotton ...
