NASHVILLE, Tenn. _ Considering he has been on the trading block since July and had ankle surgery in August, goaltender Curtis Joseph looked strong in his season debut Thursday night. He made some sharp saves. He didn't give up any bad goals. He said he felt fine physically.
But it was an ugly night for the Red Wings otherwise. They lost to the Nashville Predators, 5-3, before only 12,322 fans in a game that featured nine fights and a lot of frustration with referees Mike Leggo and Tim Peel.
