According to a study from Australia, "Dairy foods can provide significant sources of energy and protein, minerals and vitamins into the human diet.
"As well, they can contribute components of potential benefit in protecting against certain cancers, for example sporadic colorectal cancer, which poses a significant health problem in many Westernized societies," wrote G.H. McIntosh and colleagues, CSIRO, Health Science & Nutrition.
