Nov. 1--WOOD RIVER, Ill. --BP plans to spend $8 million during the next 18 months to consolidate its metro-east marketing terminal.
The plan includes moving storage tanks on the north end of the 640-acre BP Amoco refinery complex to the south end of its property. This will open 100 acres of land along Illinois 143 for development.
Mayor David Ayers said he expects this parcel will add value and increase development potential in the future.
