There's something perversely satisfying about the rise and fall of Michael Jackson, the selfproclaimed 'King of Pop'.
After all, those who live by the tabloid headline tend to die by the tabloid headline and it's somehow reassuring that the idols we create in this celebrity-obsessed age can be brought down to earth with such a resounding bump.
