TIME stood still yesterday as Jean McConville returned to the home she once lived in with her 10 adoring children.

Traffic ground to a halt and hundreds of people lining the road fell silent as the funeral cortege stopped at the spot where an IRA gang abducted her in front of her screaming youngsters, 31 years ago.

Jean's daughters wept as they recalled the night of December 7, 1972, and the last time they saw their mother.
