We'd seen tigers and giraffes, the odd bear and some monkeys - but the main focus of our safari was yet to come into view.
Darkness had fallen and we were driving round the country lanes when our guide Terje shone a powerful torch into the distance.
And there, in a field about 50 yards away, was a magnificent beast, its eyes glowing white in the torchlight.
