TAIPEI, Taiwan, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Deep silicon etching equipment leader Surface Technology Systems plc announced that it has won a multi-system, repeat order from Taiwanese semiconductor chip scale packaging leader XinTec Inc.. Targeting the rapidly expanding optical sensor marketplace, XinTec will install the STS Advanced Silicon Etch (ASE(R)) systems alongside existing STS etchers in the company's wafer fabrication facility in Tao Yuan Hsien, Taiwan. Additional systems are scheduled for installation early in 2004.
