Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBST) today announced that it has begun shipping its flagship antibiotic product, Cubicin(TM) (daptomycin for injection), to U.S. hospitals. Cubist received U.S. Food & Drug Administration marketing approval for CUBICIN on September 12, 2003.
