Scott Powell, co-owner of Maxwells Chocolates and Ice Cream, recently answered questions about the business for Neighbors.
In a few words, describe what your business is: It's reminiscent of an old-time ice cream parlor. It's a very attractive and fun atmosphere. We're located in the dining room of the former Maxwells Hotel, which was built in the 1890s. There's a high, grand tin ceiling. We have the old fashioned granite counter with stools, and several tables and chairs. It's surrounded by displays of antique toys and memorabilia as well as bulk candies and other products that change seasonally. ...
