Notebooks: Nice Luxuries But Not Workhorses
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- After field testing notebook computers for four months, accountants at Gaines Emhof Metzler & Kriner say they prefer their 24-pound "luggable" computers over the smaller machines.
Although the group found the notebook computers, which weigh approximately eight pounds, to be powerful and substantially lighter than their IBM P/70 luggables, they say notebook computers are not as versatile as the larger units they use now.
