Hard surface flooring demand in the US is forecast to increase 3.3 percent per year through 2007 to nine billion square feet. Gains will be stimulated by rebounding nonresidential construction activity, as well as repair and improvement spending in the residential market. Product innovations, such as mechanical locking laminates, will also aid growth. These and other trends are presented in Hard Surface Flooring, a new study from The Freedonia Group, Inc., a Cleveland-based industrial research firm.
