FLORENCE (FNS) -- Although the past three to four years have presented a seriously stagnant market for the yarn and knitwear industry, Italian manufacturers are gearing up for a comeback with two solid strategies: consolidation and a commitment to high quality.

At the Pitti Filati yarn and knitwear show that ended last Friday, exhibitors said their goals were to combat the worrisome figures that have been plaguing the industry.
