Carol Higgins Clark, the fourth of novelist Mary Higgins Clark's five children, helped her busy mother out by typing the manuscript of her second novel, "A Stranger is Watching."
That was when she decided to be a writer, too.
Now, years later, she is becoming almost as well-known as her famous suspense-writer mother.
Clark is the next featured speaker at this year's Elgin Enrichment Series 2003-2004 season. She speaks at 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at the Elgin Community College Visual and Performing Arts Center.
