Interstate Hotels & Resorts (NYSE:IHR), the nation's largest independent hotel management company, today announced that Robert J. Morse has been promoted from president of hotel operations to chief operating officer of the company. As COO, Morse will continue to oversee the operations of more than 300 hotels Interstate currently manages and will assume responsibility for additional departments. Previously, Morse served as president of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, the U.S. division of London-based Millennium and Copthorne Hotels plc.
