COLORADO SPRINGS -- Jose Mora's youngest daughter was barely 3 months old when the 26-year-old husband and father of three left his family in Colorado Springs last April for duty in Iraq.
On Thursday, 9-month-old Briana went to Soldiers' Memorial Chapel at Fort Carson with her brother, Damion, 4, her sister, Malory, 6, and their mother, Biani, to tell their father goodbye.
Spc. Jose Luis Mora Jr. was killed Oct. 23 during a mortar attack on his unit's base in Samarra, 70 miles north of Baghdad. He was a member of the 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, and was the 21st Fort Carson soldier to die ...
