British filmmaker Michael Winterbottom cares deeply about what format he works in. He loves the look and texture of film. And of DV. Winterbottom, best known in the United States for his film 24 Hour Party People, jumps between formats based on a particular story's or scene's needs.
DV's technical editor, Kim Reed, spoke with Winterbottom recently about his experiences making In This World, his moving story about two Afghan refugees trying to get to England.
