2003 NOV 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Collagenous colitis with pseudomembrane formation, a very rare occurrence, may be associated with immunoglobulin deficiency.
According to a study from the United States, "Collagenous colitis is a condition characterized by chronic, watery diarrhea, which is diagnosed histologically as most cases reveal a normal colonoscopic appearance. The etiology is poorly understood, but nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs or infections may act as triggers for an immune-mediated process.
