CHICAGO, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO) commends the introduction of H.R. 3438, "Johanna's Law: The Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act," and recognizes the critical support of Representatives Sander Levin (D-Michigan) and Kay Granger (R-Texas) in sponsoring the legislation.
The legislation would create a federal campaign to increase early detection and awareness of gynecologic cancers such as ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and uterine cancer through a national Public Service Announcement program and targeted grants to local and national organizations.
