ROMANIA -- The Energy Ministry has narrowed the number of companies selected to participate in the privatization of national off company Petrom (PIW Sep.29,p7). The 11 firms selected were US companies Alon, Occidental, and ConocoPhillips; Italy's ENI; Austria's OMV; Hungary's Mol; Poland's PKN Orlen; Russia's TNK-BP and Gazprom; Greece's Hellenic Petroleum; and Switzerland's Glencore.
