THEY tried their best to make The Matrix Revolutions an event film by releasing it at the same time worldwide on Bonfire Night. There was no press showing so I squeezed in with the fans at one of the series of sold-out showings at Liverpool's Odeon Cinema.
Well, this final film in the Matrix trilogy is not quite the event the film distributors might have wanted. It's okay in its way but still leaves a few unanswered questions and takes up much of its time with a Star Wars- style battle royal.
Unless you have seen the previous Matrix movies, this will leave you baffled, there being no attempt to tell ``the story so far''.
