Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrives in Manila today for a threeday state visit to the Philippines, during which the two countries are expected to strengthen diplomatic relations and sign four cooperation agreements.

The Philippines established diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan on March 19, 1992, although the two countries have yet to conclude any agreement on trade, economic, technical, or cultural cooperation.
