Nov. 11--The Body Flex weight-loss system claims 20 million satisfied customers, but the Federal Trade Commission calls it a fraud and has sued to shut it down.
In a suit filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, the FTC charged two related companies, their principals, and spokeswoman Greer Childers with falsely advertising that the Body Flex System is a proven way to quickly lose fat.
The suit seeks unspecified "redress" for consumers and an immediate temporary restraining order to halt the ads.
