It's always the same blank expression.
Then, "Oh, really?"
It's the reaction I get when I say I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.
But every once in a while _ about as often as a warm Canadian winter _ someone might say the words that'll make my day: "Isn't that where there's a giant mall?"
Outside the Great White North, Edmonton is not as widely known as one might assume for a provincial capital that's home to the world's largest shopping center.
