Wachovia Corp. hopes the operational-risk software it will start using next year will help it build a new risk-aware corporate culture, an executive says.
Enterprise OpRiskCenter from Centerprise Services Inc. of Purchase, N.Y., is expected be up and running in the first quarter.
Though the software will help with meeting the complex new requirements from the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, "it is very much designed to meet our management objectives," said Yousef A.
