MEXICO CITY, Nov 07, 2003 (El Economista/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- In an unprecedented act, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will issue debt on the Mexico City Stock Exchange, the bank announced. The issue, which will receive the highest credit rating possible, is part of the multilateral development bank's Global Debt Program.

"We hope to satisfy our financing needs offering notes that respond to institutional investors' demand for large transactions of solid AAA titles," said Esteban Molfino, the head of the IDB's financing section.
