According to Al-Bayan newspaper (November 12, 2003), Qatar Airways' Chief Executive Officer Mr Akbar Al Baker, said that Qatar is intending to build a new airport by $2 billion total costs. The new airport construction will begin in the middle of next year to be completed in 2015.
