Kuwait's Burhan International Contracting Company and the local Societe Generale des Travaux du Maroc (SGTM) are in the final stages of negotiations with the National Roads Authority (SNAM) over two contracts on the project to upgrade a 31-kilometre stretch of road linking Tnine Chtouka to the industrial city of El-Jadida. Awards are expected to be made by mid-October (MEED 1:8:03).
Burhan was one of seven groups to submit revised bids for the road upgrade after initial bids for the project, which then included the construction of a viaduct over the Oued Oum Er Rbia, came in over budget. In response, SNAM in May retendered the work in two packages, splitting the ...
