Nov. 14--LIMA, Ohio--The ferocious winds whipping across the former Lima Locomotive Works site Thursday found a new obstacle to get around.
While a couple of trucks and tractors and four men don't look like much on the vast abandoned industrial site, their presence marked the first work aimed at building, rather than demolishing, there in two decades.
Four men spent the day drilling holes as deep as 40 feet with hollowed-out augurs, taking soil samples that will help determine where the foundation for Lima Energy will be laid.
