Extension Service sets
food preservation event
"Make the Most of Summer Produce" is the theme for the 2003 Food Preservation/Safety Faire that will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 19 at the OSU/Lane County Extension Service auditorium, 950 W. 13th Ave.
Participants in the fair can visit several stations during the day to learn more about pressure canning vegetables, pickle making, tomato and salsa canning, fruit pie fillings, jams and jellies, flavored vinegars and gourmet fruit preservation, food drying and freezing convenience foods.
