The Eugene Emeralds won't have to face Yakima pitcher Chad Scarbery again this regular season, and thank goodness for that. Alex Frazier, on the other hand, has a couple of more games to taunt the Ems with his bat.
Scarbery threw 7 1/3 innings, gave up one run on nine hits, struck out five and walked none, and Frazier belted a two-run home run as the Bears defeated Eugene 4-1 in front of 4,915 at Civic Stadium.
It was just more of the same from Scarbery and Frazier, who have tormented the Ems this season.
On June 27 in Yakima, Scarbery allowed one hit and struck out seven in seven shutout innings ...
