YAKIMA, Wash. - Longball, smallball. Blowouts, shutouts.
It matters not to the Yakima Bears, it seems, what the opposition or the occasion presents these days.
A night after bludgeoning Eugene into submission with three home runs and six doubles, Yakima beat the Emeralds with pitching and defense, running its winning streak to four games with a 2-1 victory Monday night at Yakima County Stadium.
And on 25-cent hot dog night, an announced gathering of 1,788 and winning pitcher Klent Corley seemed to thoroughly - pun intended - relish the moment.
