Is it smoke and subterfuge or is it sincere and, in fact, a start?
The actions by the Portland Trail Blazers in the coming months and in the coming seasons will testify to that more eloquently than their words this week.
But at least they put those words in writing. Words to live by, and words by which to be judged.
