PULLMAN, Wash. - It's never a picnic in the Palouse.
But despite losing 10 of their previous 11 games at Washington State, the Beavers deserved better than Saturday's 36-30 elbow to the throat they received before a sold-out Martin Stadium crowd of 35,117.
Oregon State grabbed five interceptions from WSU quarterback Matt Kegel, the same quarterback who had thrown just four picks in the first seven games of the season.
The Beavers sacked Kegel five times, tackled Cougar runners nine times for lost yardage and recovered two of WSU's four fumbles in the game.
