Hainan International Corp. and Zesco sign power substation contract in Zambia
Shanghai. November 14. INTERFAX-CHINA - China Hainan International Corporation (CHICO), an international engineering and commissioning firm backed by the government of China's island province of Hainan, recently signed a substation contract, worth USD 8 mln, with Zesco Ltd., Zambia's largest power utility.
Under the contract, CHICO will construct a 33-KV power substation within a year at Kansanshi Mining Plc., a major client of Zesco, according to Zesco's press release.
