R2 Technology, Inc., a provider of computer-aided detection (CAD) technology, has shipped the first ImageChecker CAD system sold through Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOLX), a provider of women's diagnostic imaging systems and state-of-the-art digital radiology systems. This shipment marks the sale of the first ImageChecker CAD system in conjunction with Hologic's Lorad mammography system since R2 Technology and Hologic entered into an agreement to distribute such systems in July 2003. The first beneficiary of this new partnership is Lakeland Regional Cancer Center in Lakeland, Florida.
