Liancheng Aluminium raises annual electrolytic aluminium capacity to 230,000 tons

Shanghai. November 17. INTERFAX-CHINA - With its technical upgrade program completed in mid-October, northwest China's Gangsu-based Liancheng Aluminum Co. Ltd raised its annual electrolytic aluminum production capacity to 230,000 tons from current levels of 100,000 tons.

Requiring a total investment of RMB 1.1 bln (USD 132 mln), the project employs advanced 200KA pre-baking anode cell technology and is fully automated in its key manufacturing steps. Statistics show that producing one ton of electrolytic aluminum will save 1,000 kwh.
