AN ANONYMOUS letter and a potential new witness have prompted police to reopen the files on the brutal rape and murder of a woman 25 years ago.
The naked and battered body of 63-year-old blonde divorcee Norah Trott was discovered in undergrowth in Rochford, Essex, in November 1978.
The killer ripped all the clothing from her body and tore it into shreds before carrying out what police called 'an horrific and fatal assault', breaking her nose, palate and cheekbone.
Three witnesses described how they saw a 'baby-faced' man acting suspiciously just before the murder. But despite a huge hunt 'Baby Face' has never been found.
