Nov. 14--Dish Network subscribers can pack up the bunny ears.
Until now, local satellite television customers have needed antennae to receive the signals of Central Coast television stations.
On Nov. 6, however, Dish Network started providing customers in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties access to five local stations.
And Direct TV -- a competing satellite provider in the area -- is on the way with local stations, too. Local stations will be offered by that company in the first half of 2004, said Robert Mercer, director of public ...
