Article: New EU GMO regs in force - major impact on producers expected.

After some years of discussion and delay, the European Union regulations on genetically-modified organisms in foods have come into force. The new laws are contained in two separate regulations. The first, Regulation EC No 829/2003, lays down the requirements for an official authorization procedure for all foods and ingredients derived from GMOs.
