Article: Foreign policy in theory and practice.(Editorial)

THERE IS a great tension between the policy makers and the academics concerned with foreign policy in Australia. While the former have to deal with actual issues of national security and our place in a dangerous world, the latter are obsessed with ideology and pharisaical moralism as if national security were not the primary issue.
