Article: National Harris Interactive 'Feel Good Index' Falls Marginally, Fifth Year in a Row; Largest Declines in Those Who Feel Good About the Economy, State of the Nation, and Their Financial Security.

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fifth year in a row, national results of The Harris Poll(R) indicate that there has been a modest drop in the "Feel Good Index." While the one percent decline each year has been almost imperceptible, the trend has been uniformly downwards. In 1998 the Index stood at 75; now it is down to 70.

These are the results of a nationwide Harris Poll of 1,017 adults conducted by telephone by Harris Interactive(R) between October 14 and 19, 2003.

The largest declines over these five years relate to the economy. Those who feel good about the economy are down 29 points from 64% in 1998 to only 35% now. Those who feel ...
