A youth soccer coach in northeastern McHenry County was indicted last week on allegations he is a convicted child sex offender who violated state law by working with children.
Eric Velmers, 34, of Wonder Lake faces up to three years in prison if convicted of the felony charges stemming from his participation in the town's youth soccer league as an assistant coach for a boys soccer team in September and October.
